Eddystone 850/4 — low-frequency receiver
The Eddystone 850/4 is a low-frequency (LF) communications receiver. Its original manual specifies continuous coverage of 10–600 kHz over six tuning ranges. It is receive-only.
Documented functions
The receiver handles AM (amplitude modulation) and CW (Morse telegraphy). The service manual gives a 720 kHz intermediate frequency, up to eight crystal-controlled preset channels, selective filters and independent RF, IF and audio gain controls.
