The Standard C-228A is a handheld FM (frequency-modulated) transceiver for 2 metres and the 220 MHz band (1.25 metres where authorized).
Specifications and power supply conditions
The RigPix catalogue summarizes a maximum 5 W output per band. The original manual instead specifies up to 2.8 W at 144 MHz and 2.5 W at 220 MHz with the standard 7.2 V battery pack. Output depends on power supply and settings, so the catalogue rating is not a constant under all conditions. RigPix lists 1990 as model year. Transmit capabilities do not imply authorization in every country.
