OM Power OM4001A
OM4001A automatic amplifier
The OM4001A is an automatic amateur radio-frequency (RF) linear amplifier. It boosts an external transceiver’s signal and does not contain a receiver. Its operating documentation is distinct from the OM4000A and OM4001HF models.
Automatic tuning and control
Automatic tuning reduces manual adjustment when operating conditions change, but users still need to check the band, drive power, antenna and cooling. Firmware is the embedded control software and must match the particular equipment revision. Firmware update instructions do not replace the operating manual.
Power limits and safety
High-power amplification requires suitable coaxial wiring, grounding and antenna matching. Standing-wave ratio (SWR) indicates mismatch and possible reflected power. Rated power depends on emission mode and the manufacturer’s conditions, not automatically on legal authorization. Dangerous voltages can remain after power disconnection.
