OM Power OM6BPF
OM6BPF band-pass filter, not an amplifier
The OM6BPF is a radio-frequency (RF) band-pass filter that passes the selected amateur band while attenuating signals from other bands. OM Power specifies 1.8–29.7 MHz amateur bands excluding the WARC bands (30, 17 and 12 metres). It does not increase transmitted power.
Manufacturer specifications
OM Power rates the filter at 200 W for SSB, CW, RTTY, AM and FM, with 50-ohm input and output impedance, three resonators per filter, and standing-wave ratio (SWR) under 1.2:1 on the selected band. SWR indicates an impedance mismatch. External power supply is 12–15 V. These are manufacturer values, not independent tests.
Insertion loss and cross-band rejection
Insertion loss is the attenuation introduced to the wanted signal. Manufacturer typical loss figures vary from about 0.25 to 0.4 dB across bands. A decibel (dB) is a logarithmic unit comparing signal levels. OM Power provides cross-band rejection figures for specific pairs of frequencies; there is no single rejection value for every combination.
Control and original instructions
Automatic band selection supports compatible Yaesu, Icom, Elecraft, OM Power and band-decoder equipment. Read the original specification and rejection tables. The English 750 kB manual is listed, but its individual PDF URL is unverified. This accessory is distinct from RF power amplifiers.
