OM2500A FCC automatic FU728F amplifier
The OM2500A FCC is a United States radio-frequency (RF) automatic amplifier. FCC means Federal Communications Commission. This edition uses an FU728F tetrode, a four-electrode vacuum tube, while the standard edition uses GU84B. Neither power tubes nor manuals should be assumed interchangeable.
Automatic tuning and connections
Automatic tuning adjusts the amplifier but does not repair antenna mismatch. OM Power provides a FlexRadio 6xxx connection guide; wiring and firmware (embedded control software) compatibility must be checked. Standing-wave ratio (SWR) indicates mismatch and potential reflected power. High-voltage servicing requires qualified specialists.
