OM4001C commercial linear amplifier

OM Power classifies the OM4001C as a commercial automatic linear amplifier, not an amateur-band-specific model. It offers continuous frequency coverage of 5–25 MHz or 10–30 MHz depending on configuration. Frequency coverage does not itself authorize transmission.

Manufacturer ratings and hardware

The manufacturer specifies 2,500 W output for SSB (single sideband), CW (Morse), RTTY (radioteletype) and digital modes with 100% duty cycle under stated conditions. Duty cycle measures the fraction of time spent transmitting. Two ceramic FU-728F or 4CX1500B tetrodes, four-electrode vacuum tubes, are fitted depending on the model edition. Input and output impedance is 50 ohms. Full-output drive for FU-728F is 30–60 W; the 4CX1500B edition differs. These are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements or legal operating limits.

Automatic tuning and safety

OM Power reports tuning below 0.5 seconds within a band and below one second when changing bands. CAT control communicates with supported radios, and LAN enables local-area-network monitoring. Standing-wave ratio (SWR) indicates antenna mismatch and possible reflected power. Electrical and temperature protections do not remove the danger of lethal high voltage.
