OM Power OM2000A+ FCC
OM2000A+ FCC U.S. automatic amplifier
The OM2000A+ FCC is an automatic radio-frequency (RF) linear amplifier driven by an external transceiver. FCC stands for the U.S. Federal Communications Commission. This version has specifications distinct from the international OM2000A+.
Band coverage, power and tube
OM Power specifies 1.8–29.7 MHz amateur bands including WARC plus 50 MHz. It uses an FU-728F ceramic tetrode, a four-electrode vacuum tube. The manufacturer rates it at 1,500 W SSB (single sideband), CW (Morse) and RTTY (radioteletype) under specified conditions, with approximately 70 W typical drive. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent tests or universally permitted power levels.
Automatic tuning and safety
OM Power specifies tuning within 0.5 seconds inside a band and three seconds across bands. CAT control exchanges data with compatible radios, and LAN enables local-area-network monitoring. Standing-wave ratio (SWR) indicates antenna mismatch and possible reflected power. Dangerous high voltage may remain after disconnection and requires qualified servicing.
