OM Power OM2200HF
OM Power OM2200HF historical amplifier
The OM2200HF is a historical radio-frequency (RF) linear amplifier used with an external transmitter. An amplifier boosts the outgoing RF signal and contains no independent receiver. Its original operating manual differs from that of the OM2200A automatic model.
Operation and tuning
A linear amplifier must operate within the transmitter drive, band and emission-mode limits given by its manufacturer. Drive is the input power supplied by the transceiver. Check the actual output-network tuning procedure in the correct OM2200HF manual; do not assume another model’s settings apply.
Antenna matching and servicing
Standing-wave ratio (SWR) indicates antenna/feed-line mismatch, which may produce reflected power. An appropriate installation requires suitable coaxial connectors, grounding and unrestricted ventilation. Dangerous high voltage may remain stored inside an amplifier after mains disconnection.
Original instructions and comparison
OM Power’s official downloads lists the 1.55 MB English OM2200HF instruction manual. Verified individual direct PDF unavailable. Compare with the OM2200A but never substitute its operating instructions.
