OM Power OM3006+
OM3006+ six-metre RF amplifier
The OM3006+ is a 50–52 MHz radio-frequency (RF) linear amplifier for the amateur six-metre band, subject to national licensing. A GU78B tetrode, a four-electrode vacuum tube, amplifies the signal delivered by an external transceiver. The amplifier contains no receiver.
Transmission modes and rated output
OM Power lists 3000 W for SSB (single sideband), CW (Morse), RTTY (radioteletype), AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation). Operating conditions, cooling and drive limits must be checked for the actual hardware. These manufacturer figures are not independent measurements or legally permitted power levels.
Antenna system, LAN control and safety
At 50 MHz, suitably rated coaxial cables and antenna matching matter. Standing-wave ratio (SWR) indicates mismatch and possible reflected power. Optional LAN (local-area network) control requires compatible interfaces and firmware, the embedded control software. High-voltage components can remain dangerous after disconnection.
